With unwavering hope and a renewed sense of purpose, I am thrilled to share my excitement about the re-election of President Donald J. Trump. This pivotal moment offers a fresh start for countless children across our nation, especially those who are most vulnerable. For advocates, parents, and everyone who believes in protecting our youth, this victory signals a new era in child safety and the fight against child exploitation, trafficking, and safeguarding our children’s futures.
A Renewed Focus on the Border Crisis and the Missing Children
One of the most pressing tragedies of our time has been the unimaginable number of children who went missing from the southern border. According to recent data from the Department of Homeland Security, over 325,000 children remain unaccounted for, many of whom are feared to be victims of trafficking and exploitation. This crisis is deeply personal for me, as someone who has spent years working to equip others to boldly protect children from grooming, abuse, and trafficking. I know that with strong leadership, we can prioritize the safety of these children and ensure that those who are most at risk receive the support and intervention they need.
President Trump’s administration has previously demonstrated a commitment to strengthening border security and combating human trafficking, and I am hopeful that this term will bring even more decisive action. As a mother of three daughters, a child advocate, and a survivor of both childhood neglect and sexual abuse, I understand the urgency of finding and protecting these children. This isn’t just about policy change; it’s about reclaiming the lives and futures of young souls who have been robbed of safety and innocence.
Protecting the Integrity of Women’s and Girls’ Sports
Another critical issue that hits close to home is the protection of women’s and girls’ sports. President Trump has pledged to preserve the integrity of girls’ sports by ensuring that biological men do not compete in women’s categories, a stand that reinforces fairness for young female athletes. As a mother raising daughters, I am encouraged to know that their rights and opportunities will be protected and respected, allowing them to compete on an equal playing field.
Defending Our Children’s Right to a Natural Childhood
Perhaps most encouraging is President Trump’s vow to protect children from gender-affirming medical interventions that could impact them for life. As someone who has survived the painful impacts of forced circumstances, I deeply understand the importance of allowing children to grow up without pressure to make life-altering decisions they may not fully comprehend. This commitment is a stand for the innocence of childhood and the right of every child to grow up free from confusion and intervention that could change their lives irrevocably.
Building Stronger Policies to Protect Children
There is also hope for stronger policies that will crack down on child trafficking networks and hold accountable those who prey on our youth. It’s a fight my husband, an ex-military serviceman and MMA fighter, and I are deeply committed to in our work. We believe in not only protecting children from harm but in equipping communities with the tools to identify warning signs of grooming, exploitation, and trafficking and to respond appropriately. These efforts, combined with policies supporting child safety and legal consequences for offenders, represent real protections for children and peace of mind for families across the nation.
Our Role in the Fight
While the future looks bright, this is a call to action for each of us. The work of rescuing and protecting children requires a collective effort. We must continue to hold our leaders accountable, demand real and effective action, and support organizations on the frontlines of child protection. Together, we can create a safer, more compassionate world for our children.
As we look forward to what this new chapter brings, let’s keep the fight alive in our communities, schools, and homes. Now more than ever, our children need us to stand up for them, to protect their rights, and to ensure that they grow up in a nation that treasures and safeguards their future.
